Married for 64 years. Two children but no grandchildren
How Long I've Lived/Worked In Hershey:
Never worked in Hershey but was raised in the Milton Hershey School, being admitted on December 9, 1929 and graduated om June 3, 1940.
Employment:
Worked for Westinghouse for almost 33 years. Retired on May 31, 1985.
By being admitted to the Hershey Industrial School in 1929 it saved me from being raised on the streets and it implanted a positive attitude in me which was recognized throughout my working years. It had to be my Hershey attitude because i was recognized by different Managers for promotions of importance over others who had more experiencem, more years with Westinghouse, and, at times, even those with higher education. It is from my working years that I recognize the importance of how Mr. Hershey made it all possible. My gratitude to Mr. Hershey started soon after I graduated in 1940.
It is this gratitude that drives me to bring the needed reforms within the Milton Hershey School Board of Managers.
