Our new tool for discussion
You might call this Phase 2 of The Hershey Home.
Over at PennLive -- remember that place? -- we've set up a blog where anyone with a PennLive username can write an entry about Hershey issues. We'll also be linking to print stories (from The Patriot-News and elsewhere), and referring people to the discussion that's happening over here.

At this point, we're still not sure how people are going to use it, but we wanted to make it available. It will likely get a good amount of promotion both on the Web site and in the print edition.
As you can see, through our work on this site and the creation of this new blog, we're really making an effort to give more control and access to residents and followers of Hershey issues. But it's still a new concept to everyone, so let us know what you think is going well, and what you think could be improved.
Finally, we hope that it will be used for all issues and events relating to Derry Twp. It would be neglectful to ignore the fact that the Derry forum and Hershey forum in PennLive have vastly different audiences. My hope is that both will find a home there, that people will be just as comfortable discussing the spring play at Hershey High School as they would discussing the direction of the trust.
